Typical Patrol Activities
- On-Hill Patrolling
- Opening and closing sweeps. We are the first ones on the
hill, putting up fences, and and the last ones down the hill, taking down
fences and making sure all skiers are off the hill.
- Putting up signs and boundary fences
- Patrolling ski and dogsled races.
- Providing first aid and on-hill transportation to guests in need
of assistance
- Patrol station duty
- Finding lost kids, assisting management with ski area duties
- Providing first aid to guests at the base lodge and surrounding
area
- Ski Patrol Refresher and Annual meeting in early November
- End of season party and awards presentation, usually in March
Setting up fences.
Taking fences to the lift.
Taking more fences up to patrollers.
The lift operators have their own fences to set up.
